Business confidence index falls 3 pp in mining, processing indus Jan

MOSCOW, Feb 4 (PRIME) – Russia’s index of business confidence fell by 3 percentage points in January, both in the processing and mining businesses, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Tuesday.

Of the total number, 14% of the respondents said they see the economic situation in their mining company as favorable, 71% said it was satisfactory. In the processing industry, 11% saw the situation as favorable and 74% as satisfactory.

Of the respondents, 22% of mining industry representatives expect improvement of the economic situation within the next six months, and 31% in the processing industry.
